Grasshopper Parable

I like this little fellow. Impressive camouflaging with the concrete sidewalk right?! How cute is it that he's holding a blade of grass? It's in his name after all! Interesting that on one hand he's totally hiding from the world, just blending in. However, he can't seem to deny who he is. He's clinging to that blade of grass; perhaps to remind himself of his true identity, or maybe to make himself known to the observant onlooker. Sometimes we feel like we just kind of blend in, but that's not who we are! We're children of god with divine heritage and potential, and we should cling to that knowledge! I'm grateful I noticed this little lesson today, it was just what I needed:)
With hope,
Lynley
