Coronado Pier
I loved Coronado Island in San Diego. I'm already trying to figure out when we can go back! Danny and I had so much fun wandering around discovering the quaint little beach town together. I love the pictures of our evening at the Coronado Pier. I was kind of proud of myself for knowing just how to shoot the scenic view in the evening light. (Bump up the ISO and set the self-timer to avoid shaking the camera when pressing the shutter... NO FLASH.)
My most embarrassing moment of the trip happened to occur while shooting these lovely pics... I was so focused on getting a good shot that I didn't notice a large fisherman come and stand in between the 10 foot distance I had wandered away from Danny... Without looking up, I assumed the fisherman was in fact my Danny, and moved in close to him, all the while focused on viewing the shots I had just taken. Finally looking away from my camera I thought to myself, "Wait, that's not what Danny was wearing, and why does he smell so fishy?" Putting the pieces together, I hesitantly looked up to see an unkempt bearded man staring at me with a puzzled grin. Awkward doesn't even begin to explain it... Now there's a special memory.
