Kevin let me take his picture and we talked while I picked berries. He's a pretty good listener, although he had quite a lot to say himself. I'm certain he was trying to tell me that he needed help finding his way home and he missed his family. He grew a bit impatient with my inability to understand goat-ese, but I tried to reassure him by saying things like, "It's okay baby" (animals love that sort of thing). I hope he returns to his own little pasture soon, but in the meantime, I'm pretty happy to have him around! Did you know I love goats?! I do.

Oh what a joyous Lynley moment this is!! Kudos to whichever of your sisters-in-law rescued Kevin from that busy road. I bet he was telling you "Thanks for keeping me company, Lynley. I'm sure glad that you're here!"
I think I want a goat just so I can wake up every morning and start the day out with a laugh...they're so goofy!
I'm a pygmy goat fan myself and you can't help but talk to them. I love how animals communitcate when they know people are listening to them. I hope that Kevin either finds his home or can be happy where he is with people that cared enough to take him in.
