I find it interesting that in the story of Pandora from Greek mythology, the tiny element of HOPE was the only thing left in the box after all of the terrors and furies had flown out into the world.
Isn't that the way it often is with us? The world gets so overwhelming sometimes that it is often a challenge to cut through the darkness, noise and chaos to find HOPE.
Still, like the myth of Pandora, we know that in spite of all the strife and hurt that surrounds us, HOPE is always there. We have the Lord's sure promise that He will be with us at all times and in all places.
He knows us. He loves us. And, like HOPE, He shines through the darkness to light our way.
