Another Right Answer...

Last time I posted one of my favorite shots from getting caught in the rain out on the farm. That particular image was taken while facing the east. I suppose I could have happily put my lens cap on and called it good at that, but my heart just doesn't really allow for that. One of my favorite lessons from renowned National Geographic Photographer, Dewitt Jones, is that you shouldn't stop at one right answer, but change your position and perspective and look for another great shot, and than another one after that...

So here's a little look to the west... you know I love that golden sunlight in the evening, and the falling rain only made it more lovely! I think one of the things I enjoy so much about golden hour out on the farm is the contrast between the soft filtered light and rugged landscape. Somehow it seems to depict a slowed down, quieter way of life... like sitting out on the porch after a hard day's work.

PS: Next time I shall try to remember my rain boots when traipsing around in a rainstorm down on the farm.... and some allergy medicine while I'm at it;)

Lovely! Makes me wish I had a barn to get caught in during a rainstorm so that I could take some lovely pictures. :)
