What we are MOST Grateful for...

On Thanksgiving we shared this video with our families. Filming the video was quite the challenge, as Utah weather was less than cooperative with our limited time, but we were glad we got it done in the end! My happy little clouds were not supposed to turn into sad droopy rain clouds, we were soaking wet, and all we could do was laugh! Luckily, there was a short break in the rain, just long enough to film the scenes with our bike.

I've kept a pretty detailed journal of my private thoughts and feelings over the past 15 weeks... and yet somehow I find myself at a bit of a loss for words here. Hopefully as days go on I'll be able to gather my thoughts a little better here. Danny and I couldn't be more excited, grateful, and humbled by the beautiful blessing that has come into our lives. It is truly a miracle, an answer to many prayers and blessings, and a real testament to the hand of the Lord in our lives.

Announcing our news has been a bitter sweet experience in part, as we have connected with so many dear friends and family in the process of wanting and waiting for children. It's hard to be moving forward when so many dear ones are still waiting. I know what it's like to hear someone else's happy news and feeling excited for them, while at the same time crawling deeper into a hole of discouragement as our own desires seemed to be on hold. It has been my deepest desire to share our news with compassion and sensitivity. I am grateful for a Father in Heaven who has a unique plan and blessings in store for all who wait on him.

Baby is due May 18th and we absolutely cannot wait to meet the little one that we already love so much.

With Love and Gratitude,
L

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO excited to meet baby!!!!!!!!!! Cool Auntie Steffi has already sent her/him a present. Look for it around the end of the week at Nana and Papa's house (UPS sent it there automatically -- sorry!).

Can't wait to see you all in a few weeks. :)
